Obituary for Louise Jeannette Harasemchuk

Print
HARASEMCHUK- On Sunday, January 27th, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Louise Jeannette Harasemchuk passed peacefully at TBRHSC. Louise was an amazing woman that loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. It always gave her great joy to know that she was needed and useful and never denied lending a hand. She enjoyed joining her friends knitting up items for the Red Cross, Cancer Society and the 55Plus Centre. Meeting up with her knitting friends gave her incredible pleasure. She loved sewing all sorts of crafts and clothes, and recently sewed dog beds for dog rescues. Her other passion was in the making of quilts for family, friends. Cutting and piecing fabric together made the long winter days just bit shorter. Of course, the invites to Bingos, suppers, and special occasions with friends and family helped pass her time and made her feel loved. Summer time you could always find her puttering in her beautiful garden or strolling through the park with her current four legged friend. Louise had a special spot in her heart for Current River Community Centre, and had in previous years been involved in fund raising, and organizing special events. In recent years Louise’s greatest passion and love was spending time spoiling her two grand-daughters (Petra & Sophia) There was never enough time in her day to get the things done she wished to do for these, her two special girls. Louise will be greatly missed by her daughter, two sons, and her two grand-daughters. She will also be missed by her sister and brother and their families, as well as many friends and neighbours. We welcome all those that knew and loved Louise to attend a celebration of her life on Tuesday, February 5th at Sargent Family Reception Centre, 21 N. Court Street between 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. If friends so desire, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society; the Canadian Red Cross or the charity of their choice. On-line condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com. The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Oncology ward, 1A at TBRHSC, the compassion and kindness that you showed our family at this difficult time was a blessing. Thank you.
