NIMCHUK- It is with regret that the family announces the sudden passing of Michael John "Jack" Nimchuk on Sunday, November 30th in Toronto at the age of 76. He had resided for over 50 years in Toronto since leaving Port Arthur at the age of 19 in order to pursue his dream of becoming a playwright. His plays were performed in various cities in Canada (including Magnus Theatre) and on CBC T.V.. He is survived by his only son, Zachary (Allison) of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and his sister, Joan (Frank) Anderson of Thunder Bay. Michael John was predeceased by his mother, Anne Nimchuk and his father, Michael S. Nimchuk. Cremation has taken place and interment of ashes will take place at a later date in Thunder Bay.
